[Also in Division Dl] Textiles e.g. carpets with polyamide fibres, cotton, velour polyacrylonitrile or polyamide fabrics polyester, polyalkylene, polycarbonate, polyurethane, halogenated polyolefin and wool and regenerated cellulose fabrics are rendered flame resistant and resilient by being coated with a mixture of (a) a tris (bromo- or chloroalkyl) phosphate (b) a phosphorus-containing plasticizer e.g. a triaryl-, trialkyl- or diphenyl, octylphosphate (c) polyvinyl chloride or polyvinyl bromide or copolymers of the monomers thereof with vinyl acetate, vinylidene chloride, maleic or fumaric acid esters, styrene, acrylic esters and acrylonitrile (d) antimony oxide and (e) a polyurethane e.g. a polyurethane formed from a polyester e.g. of adipic acid and 1, 6- hexanedial or a polyether and a polyisocyanate e.g. toluylene diisocyanate, PVC stabilisers may be present e.g. triphenyl phosphite or diphenyl thiourea, as well as triisocyanates, e.g. thiophosphoric acid 0, 0, 0,-triphenyl ester-4, 4', 4"- triisocyanate or the reaction product of trimethylol propane and toluylene diisocyanate.
