    Abstract: The invention relates to novel linear polyesters containing hydroxy end groups and an N,N-bis-( Beta -sec.hydroxy-alkyl)-palkylphenylamine and certain dicarboxylic acids condensed therein. These novel polyesters are useful as accelerators for mixtures of unsaturated polyesters and copolymerizable monomers which harden at room temperature after the addition of a diacyl peroxide catalyst.

    Abstract: 1,274,320. Unsaturated polyesters. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 5 June, 1969 [29 June, 1968], No. 28554/69. Heading C3P. Polyester compositions contain the following components: (a) a polyester which contains the radicals of an α,#-ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, of a completely or partly hydrogenated o-phthalic acid or an endomethylene and/or chloro-derivative thereof and of 1,2- propylene glycol; (b) an N,N-bis-(hydroxyalkyl)-arylamine, which arylamine is incorporated, by cocondensation, into a saturated or unsaturated polyester (which may be polyester (a) above); and (c) a copolymerizable unsaturated monomeric compound. In the examples the compositions contain polyesters derived from 1,2-propylene glycol, maleic anhydride, ophthalic anhydride, tetrahydro-o-phthalic anhydride and hexahydrophthalic acid, hydroquinone, 2,5-dibutyl quinone, copper naphthenate, styrene, di-tert-butyl quinone and an amine accelerator prepared from N,N-bis(#-hydroxyethyl)-p-toluidine and phthalic anhydride and cured using benzoyl peroxide.
