Abstract: A housing (1) contains a conventional ram press, chamber (8) with a cpnventional forenozzle (9) and measurement nozzle (10) and a plate separation differential capacitor. The capacitor contains two spring elements (2), one bounding directly on the chamber, with rigid centres and forming axially connected capactive electrodes. A thin-walled, non-conducting rigid plate (4) with active film electrodes (5) is arranged between the rigid centres. An electric signal proportional to the distance between a test object and the measurement nozzle appears at the output (13) of an evaluation circuit (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - For measuring mass and/or form - and position deviation. Versatile pneumatic-capacitive length sensor electronic components are isolated from pressure medium.
