Abstract: 1325976 Detecting nitric oxide BECKMAN INSTRUMENTS Inc 27 March 1972 [2 July 1971] 14211/72 Heading G1A In an apparatus for detecting nitric oxide, ozone and the sample (containing nitric oxide) are passed via separate channels 14, 16 which join at the entrance 22 to a reaction chamber 12 so that the light formed by their chemi-luminescent reaction at the entrance is effectively a point source, and its intensity is measured by a photo-multiplier 28 outside the chamber 12 receiving light that has passed through a filter 24. The results of tests under several different conditions are disclosed.
