Abstract:
Device for collecting and separating particles and microorganisms present in the ambient air, comprising intake means (36, 38) for taking air into a removable centrifugation chamber (10) forming a container for transporting a liquid specimen containing the collected particles and microorganisms, this chamber being selected from a set of chambers having different diameters corresponding to intake rates of between about 100 and 2000 litres per minute, these rates being achieved with the same intake means.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the rapid analysis of a microbial population of a given environment, such as a microbial population sampled from the air. In particular, the inventive method comprises the use of DNA chips and a radioactive or chimiluminescent detection method.
Abstract:
Device for collecting particles and microorganisms present in the ambient air, comprising air sucking means (14) in a low capacity enclosure (10) wherein particles and microorganisms are centrifugally separated from the sucked air, wherein said device is portable, self-supporting and one-hand handleable, for example with a handle (16) associated with the air sucking means.
Abstract:
A device for collecting particles and microorganisms present in ambient air, the device comprising means for sucking air into a small volume enclosure in which the particles and microorganisms are separated from the sucked-in air by centrifuging, the device being portable, self-contained, and capable of being handled in one hand only, e.g. by means of a handle associated with the air suction means.
Abstract:
Chemiluminescent reading of a DNA chip in which a porous membrane, impregnated with a chemiluminescent substrate (I) and serving to immobilize the liquid substrate, is placed on the chip surface, is new. An independent claim is also included for a chip for the new process comprising a thin layer of glass on which is deposited capture probes (DNA or RNA specific for microorganisms) and a porous membrane impregnated with (I).
Abstract:
Rapid detection of microorganisms (A) comprising collecting (A); extracting RNA; labeling the RNA, or converting it to labeled DA; hybridizing the labeled nucleic acid to capture probes, specific for each microorganism, present on a chip, where hybridization takes only 15-45, preferably 30, minutes; detecting any hybridization and analysis of the results, is new.

Abstract:
L'invention concerne un dispositif (7) de collecte de particules et de microorganismes présents dans l'air ambiant, comportant une enceinte cyclonique (8) de centrifugation d'air de forme conique ou tronconique, des moyens (16) d'entrée d'air extérieur dans l'enceinte (8) et des moyens de sortie d'air reliés par des moyens de raccordement (19, 20, 21 ) à des filtres (4) d'entrée d'air d'un appareil individuel motorisé de protection respiratoire (A).
