Abstract: A particle board or sheet is made from an agricultural by-product such as straw with a thermoplastic binder. The thermoplastic may be waste material. The mixture may be crushed, then extruded at elevated temperature so as to coat the straw with the melted plastics, crushed again, pressed in a heated die and allowed to cool under pressure in a cooling press.
