Abstract: A polymer composition providing optical clarity and impact resistance includes from about 40 weight percent (wt. %) to about 99.9 wt. % (e.g., 50-95 wt. %) of a continuous matrix, and from about 0.01 wt. % to about 60 wt. % (e.g., 5-50 wt. %) of a dispersed phase. The weight percentages of the matrix phase and the dispersed phase are based on the total weight of the matrix phase and the dispersed phase. The matrix phase may comprise a polypropylene polymer comprising from 0 to 7 mole percent (mol. %) of units derived from ethylene, a C4-C10 alpha olefin or combinations thereof. The dispersed phases may be a propylene/alpha olefin copolymer having from 10 mol. % to 70 mol. % of units derived from ethylene or a C4-C10 alpha olefin or combinations thereof.

Abstract: The invention relates to a sinterable polymer composition, comprising: a random copolymer of propylene and an olefinic comonomer, containing about 2 to 10 wt % olefinic comonomer content, relative to 100 wt % of the random copolymer. The sinterable polymer composition may also contain at least one of a clarifier and a nucleator, and/or at least one additive selected from the group consisting of a primary antioxidant, a secondary antioxidant, an acid scavenger, a peroxide, an enhanced IR energy absorber, a long-term heat agent, and a polyolefin elastomer. The sinterable polymer composition has a melt flow rate from about 1 to 150 g/10 min (230° C./2.16 kg), measured according to ASTM D 1238; a crystallization temperature, Tc, from about 105 to 150° C.; and a xylene solubles content, XS, from about 3% to 40%.

Abstract: A composition comprising polypropylene having a high melt strength suitable for an injection stretch blow molding (ISBM) process is provided. Such a composition includes a polypropylene (PP) copolymer having a branched structure. The PP copolymer is a random copolymer derived from propylene and at least one comonomer selected from ethylene, any C4-C8 alpha-olefin, or any combinations thereof. The composition has a melt flow index in a range of from 8 g/10 minutes to 30 g/10 minutes. A resulting fabricated article, a method of making the composition, and a method of using the composition are also provided.
