    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition having high reinforcing property and improved dispersibility without lowering the reinforcing property, by carrying out the addition surface-treatment of carbon black having large surface area with an amine compound and/or quinoline compound and compounding the treated carbon black to a rubber. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.(wt.) of carbon black having a specific surface area of >=130m /g determined by nitrogen adsorption is granulated by pouring (B) an organic solvent solution or aqueous dispersion containing 0.5-5pts. of an amin compound (e.g. naphthylamine compound, diphenylamine compound, etc.) and/or a quinoline compound to the component A in a wet granulator for carbon black. The obtained granule is heated at 105-200 deg.C to remove the solvent or water to dryness. The resultant surface-treated carbon black is added to a rubber composed of a natural rubber and/or a synthetic diene rubber at an amount of 30-140pts. per 100pts. of the rubber.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability and moving performance of a lug tire of a large vehicle formed with multiple lateral grooves from both shoulders toward the center of a tread by devising the shape of lateral grooves and specifying the dynamic elastic modulus or the like of the tread rubber. CONSTITUTION:A lug tire is formed with multiple lateral grooves 5 from both shoulders 3 toward the center 4 in turn and point-symmetrically across the center 4 on a tread section 2. In this case, each lateral groove 5 is formed with a straight-line region 10 located on the shoulder 3 side having a crossed axes angle theta between an edge line 6 on the opening side and the meridian L of the tire within a range of -5 deg.-5 deg. and a slant region 11 having a crossed axes angle alpha between the center line M in the width direction and the meridian L within a range of -40 deg.--20 deg. or within a range of 20 deg.-40 deg.. The tread section 2 is formed with rubber having a dynamic elastic modulus within a range of 7.8X10 -9.5X10 (kg/mm ), a loss tangent within a range of 0.18-0.23, and a value of the loss tangent divided by the dynamic elastic modulus within a range of 2.0X10 -2.5X10 (mm /kg).
