Abstract: Método de fabricación de una cubierta neumática en el que se forma al menos una clase de elemento constitutivo de la cubierta sobre un lado periférico exterior de una banda (13) que constituye la carcasa, comprendiendo dicho método para la formación de una cubierta no vulcanizada los pasos de: expandir radialmente hacia el exterior una parte central a lo ancho de una banda (13) que constituye una carcasa cilíndrica; y arrollar y unir una tira (14) de caucho no vulcanizado sobre una superficie periférica exterior de la banda (13) que constituye la carcasa expandida, formando con ello dicho elemento constitutivo de la cubierta, incluyendo dicho elemento constitutivo de la cubierta cualquiera de los miembros del grupo que consta de un relleno (19) del talón, un flanco (17), un elemento resistente (16) de caucho, un caucho amortiguador y un amortiguador inferior del cinturón.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire including insert plies (35) in its sidewall portions, wherein said insert plies are formed on an outer peripheral side of a carcass band (31), said method comprising the steps, for forming a green tire, of radially outwardly expanding a widthwise center portion of a substantially cylindrical carcass band (31) having marginal portions to which bead rings (32) are attached, by moving the bead rings axially toward each other; forming the insert plies (35) by applying, on both side portions of the carcass band (31) separated from each other with the center portion therebetween, reinforcing cords (34) to extend approximately in parallel with the circumferential direction; and enhancing a degree of radial expansion of the carcass band (31) by further moving the bead rings (32) axially toward each other, so as to increase a tension of the reinforcing cords (34) and thereby bring an outer face of a resultant crown portion into contact with a belt and a tread for joining.
