    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition which can give a tire simultaneously improved in both durability and productivity, by adding a phenoxy cobalt salt and a bismaleimide compound to a natural rubber or a synthetic polyisoprene rubber. CONSTITUTION:This rubber composition is prepared by adding 0.01-1 pt.wt. (in terms of a cobalt element content) phenoxy cobalt salt of formula I or II and 0.2-10 pts.wt. bismaleimide compound of formula III to 100 pts.wt. rubber component containing at least 70 pts.wt. natural rubber and/or synthetic rubber. In the formulas, R1-R11 are each H, a hydroxyl group, a 1-18 C alkyl, a 5-12C cycloalkyl, a 1-16C alkylthio group, a 6-14C aryl, a sulfur atom, a dithio group, O, a 1-4C alkyl-N group or the like, and Z is a 2-10C hydrocarbon group. Said rubbers which constitute the rubber composition are sulfur- vulcanizable rubbers, and among them, a natural rubber, a polyisoprene rubber, a polybutadiene rubber, a styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber or a blend thereof is particularly desirable because of their wide versatility.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the partial abrasion resistance without detriment to high speed durability, rib tear resistance, etc., by mixing a stock rubber with a specified reinforcing carbon black, a polyolefin resin, a bismaleimide compound and sulfur. CONSTITUTION:A polyolelfin resin (C) is obtained by copolymerizing a 5- methyl-1,4-hexadiene monomer unit bonded in the foam of a structure of formula I (wherein R is H or methyl, and m is 5-100) with at least one kind of a monoolefin monomer unit selected from ethylene and propylene and, optionally, other unsaturated monomer units in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst. 100pts.wt. at least one stock rubber (A) selected from among natural rubber, synthetic isoprene rubber and synthetic butadiene rubber is mixed with 40-60pts.wt. resinforcing carbon black (B) of a specific surface area (by nitrogen adsorption method) of 110-160m /g, 1-15pts.wt. component C, 0.5-3pts.wt. bismaleimide compound (D) of formula II (wherein Z is a 2-10C bivalent group such as a 2-10C alkylene, a phenylene, an alkylphenylene or a combination thereof) and 0.4-2pts.wt. sulfur (E).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition excellent in all of heat-resistant adhesion, wet heat-resistant adhesion and initial adhesion between rubber and steel cord, by mixing a rubber with a cobalt oxyketone complex and a bismaleimide compound. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition is prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. rubber component containing at least 70pts.wt. at least either of a natural rubber and a synthetic polyisoprene rubber with 0.01-1pt.wt. (in terms of the Co content) at least one cobalt oxyketone complex of formula I (wherein X1-X4 are each a 1-18C alkyl, a 3-12C cycloalkyl, a 6-14C aryl or the like) or formula II (wherein Y1-Y10 are each H, a 1-18C alkyl, a 3-12C cycloalkyl, a 6-14C aryl, a halogen or the like) and 0.2-10pts.wt. bismaleimide compound of formula III (wherein Z is a 2-10C hydrocarbon). This rubber composition is improved in all of heat-resistant adhesion, wet heat-resistant adhesion and initial adhesion between rubber and steel cord and can be applied to steel-reinforced conveyor belts, steel-reinforced hoses, rubber vibration isolators, earthquake-proof rubbers, etc. as well as can be used suitably for tire steel belts or steel carcass ply.
