Abstract: TITLE OF THE INVENTION "PNEUMATIC TIRE" A tread surface of a pneumatic tire comprises a plurality rows of blocks arranged in the circumferential direction of the tire and separated from one another by a plurality of circumferentially extending zigzag grooves and a plurality of transversely extending grooves, each of the blocks of inner rows being formed with a plurality of sipes each oriented toward the direction of rotation of the tire and each inclined with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire and each arranged so that, when the tire rolls on the road, an inner end of the sipe located in a central portion of the block is brought into contact with the ground earlier than an outer end of the sipe located in an edge of the block.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and facilitate manufacturing, and to ensure the connection hard to be coming-off in terms of structural bonding power, when a chain or a rope is used for the connection by arranging an elastic member on a notch part of a letter C-shaped hook. CONSTITUTION:An elastic member 3 is arranged on the notch part of a letter C-shaped hook 2. A connecting tool 1 provided with the elastic member 3 on the notch part of the C-shaped hook 2, is fitted or removed when the force greater than the resiliency of the elastic member 3 is applied, and it cannot be fitted nor removed when the power is smaller than the resiliency of the elastic member 3. As the resiliency of the elastic member 3 is stronger, more force is needed when a chain or rope is connected together, or is fitted into a gap, and the possibility of removal is reduced and the connection is thus strengthened. The structure is simplified, and the manufacturing is facilitated, while the connection is ensured in terms of structural bonding power, when a chain or rope is used for the connection.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve lock performance by providing two or more friction engaging parts or the like which support one end part of a side rope in a fold state to inhibit its movement, in the case of a lock mechanism connecting both end parts of the side rope mutually tightening two or more tire slip stopper members. CONSTITUTION:A lock mechanism 16 is applied to a side rope 12 mounted to two or more tire slip stopper members arranged in the periphery of a tire. Here the lock mechanism 16 secures a stopper 32 to the intermediate part of an oval-shaped main unit metal fixture 30 while respectively provides a lever part 36 to be arranged in a side forming an opening 34 bordering the stopper 32 further a hook part 38 to be arranged in an opposite side. While the main unit metal fixture 30 is externally fit two equally shaped moving metal fixtures 40, 42 serving as the friction engaging part. The side rope 12 hooks its one end part to the hook part 38 through a hook 41. While the other end part of the side rope 2 is successively wound on each moving metal fixture 40, 42, when they are adapted to the stopper 32, the side rope is locked.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent spikes from being drawn out, in plural flexible anti-slip members provided with the spikes and disposed outside a tire at predetermined intervals, by burying reinforcing cloth only on the road abutted surface side of the base portion of the spikes. CONSTITUTION:Plural anti-slip members 20 disposed around a tire 22 are connected by means of side ropes 24 so as to constitute a tire anti-slip device in a ladder shape as a whole. The respective anti-slip members 20 are made of thermoplastic elastomer or the like and are formed into a substantial U-shaped cross section with a pair of leg portions 20B bent over from both end portions of a central portion 20A. In this case, in the respective members 20, a canvas 30 serving as reinforcing cloth, a pair of bead fittings 34 and plural spikes 36 are buried, and further hooks 38 are fixed thereto. Both end portions of the canvas 30 are folded over around the bead fittings 34, and a shank 40 is inserted into through holes 30A formed on the canvas 30 so as to support the spikes 36.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate mounting of a device main unit to dual tires by connectably separating the intermediate part of an outer flexible long size member of the inner and outer flexible long size members, respectively connecting both end parts of two or more slip stopper members, in a specific position. CONSTITUTION:A device main unit is constituted of a plurality of slip stopper members 12 arranged in the periphery of a tire and each side rope 14, 16 serving as the flexible long size member respectively arranged inside and outside the tire. Here separating in one part an intermediate part of the one side rope 16, further the side rope 16 forms each loop part 16B respectively in each separated end part while mounting a hook 50 to the one loop part. And the separated part sets its position in the vicinity of a position of length corresponding to 1/4 times the effective total length L of the device main unit from its lengthwise direction central position A toward the end part. Thus derivatively providing a margin in the other side rope 14, the device main unit facilitates its mounting to the dual tires.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of a tyre especially and obtain the same function as that of super hard alloy by forming a spike pin for a tyre constituted so as not to damage a road surface through resinification of its earthing part with the mixture of a styrene series rubber and super high molecular weight polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:A spike pin 1 for a tyre is constituted so as not to damage a road surface by resinifying the part in contact with the road surface. In this case, the spike pin 1 for the tyre is formed with the mixture of a styrene series rubber and super high molecular weight polyethylene. The styrene series rubber is set by the rate of 10-90%, desirably 25-75% and the super high molecular weight polyethylene by the rate of 90-10%, desirably 75-25%. The combined styrene amount of the styrene series rubber is set by the rate of 10-70%, desirably 15-50%. Further, the molecular weight of super high molecular weight polyethylene is set by the rate of about 500,000, or more desirably about 800,000-5,000,000.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve traveling performance of a heavy duty tire on ice and snow by providing sipes having orientation in the rotating direction and being inclined in the circumferential direction in a block of a tread central area from inner side to the outer end thereof so as to be opened to grooves. CONSTITUTION:A block 15 is partitioned by four circumferential grooves 13 formed in a zigzag shape and lateral grooves 14, thus block rows 16a to 16e being formed. In the block rows 16b to 16d in the central area, a plurality of trapezoidal sipes 18 having orientation in the tire rotational direction are formed so as to be opened to circumferential grooves 13. In this case, the sipes 18 in the block 16c are connected in the inner side 15a of the block 15 and the sipes 18 in the blocks 16b, 16d are spaced between each other, in the inner side of the block 15. With this arrangement, the sipes 18 are grounded in such a way that the sipes on the inner side 15a are grounded in advance, so that it is possible to improve cutting of water film and water discharge and also traveling performance on ice and snow.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the burst preventing function of a tire, by disposing a highly viscous material layer between two soft and highly elastic resilient material sheets so that an annular tire liner layer adapted to be made in contact with and laid on the inner surface of the tire is formed, and by forming a nonadhesive section between the tire inner surface and the tire liner layer. CONSTITUTION:An annular liner layer 6 is made into contact with and laid on the inner surface 5a of a tire body 1 composed of a tread section 2, a side section 3 and a bead section 4. In this arrangement, the annular liner layer 6 is formed such that a highly viscous material layer 9 is held between two sheets 7, 8 made of soft and highly elastic resilient materials. Further, the tire liner layer 6 is made in close contact with the inner surface 5a of the tire over the entire surface of the tire by means of adhering sections 8A, 8B through the intermediary of at least both end sections 8a, 8b. In this arrangement the substantial part of the surface of the liner layer 6 which is made in contact with the inner surface 5 of the tire, is left to be unbound to the inner surface 5 of the tire, and therefore, a tire air chamber 10 and a nonbinding section 11 which is closed to the outside are formed.
