Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the titled foam excellent in thermocompression moldability, by reacting a specified polyol with an organic isocyanate, a blowing agent, a catalyst, a foam stabilizer, and additives. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. poly(oxyethylene/oxyalkylene) polyetherpolyol of an average OH value of 28-60 in which at least 50mol% of a terminal alkylene oxide component comprises ethylene oxide is mixed with an organic isocyanate of an isocyanate index of 80-130 (e.g., toluene diisocyanate), a blowing agent (e.g., water), 0.005-2pts.wt. catalyst (e.g., stannous octoate), 0.1-3.0pts.wt. foam stabilizer, and 0.1-2pts.wt. at least one additive selected from the group consisting of OH group-containing tert. amines, quat. ammonium salts, and lactams. The resulting mixture is molded under heat and pressure at 80-150 deg.C for 1- 5min.
