Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire having simple handling of an unvulcanized inner liner member and capable of suppressing the generation of scraps. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the pneumatic tire comprises the steps of supplying a rubber composition paste 20 having a low viscosity and dissolved in an industrial gasoline onto a screen 16. The method further comprises the steps of moving an elongating roll 28 to elongate the paste 20, printing the unvulcanized inner liner member 30 on a film liner 12, and then drying the paste. The method also comprises the steps of pressing the liner 12 to the outer peripheral surface of a tire molding drum 38 by a predetermined force, rotating the drum 38, and conveying the liner 12 at the same speed as the outer circumferential speed of the drum 38. Thus, the member 30 on the liner 12 is transferred onto the outer peripheral surface of the drum 38.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the prevention of a crack growth at the end of a belt and enhance the endurance of a tire by specifying a relationship among each value of properties in tread cap rubber, tread base shoulder part rubber and tread crown central part rubber. CONSTITUTION:A tire is formed with double lamination construction comprising a base rubber having treads so arranged as to cover the radial outside and both width-wise sides of a belt and a cap rubber positioned at the radial outside of the base rubber. In the aforesaid constitution, the base rubber comprises the rubber B of a crown central part at the outside of the belt in a radial direction and the rubber C of a crown shoulder part positioned at both sides of the crown central part in a width-wise direction and covering an area at least up to the end of the belt. Each type of rubber A, B and C is made to have a relationship among each loss factor tandelta (A) to tandelta (C) and each storage elastic modulus E'(A) to E'(C) at 50 deg.C, and between each 300% modulus value M300(B) and M300(C) respectively to satisfy the expressions I-III.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the high-temperature reinforcibility, abrasion resistance and cutting resistance and improve the heat build-up and fatigue resistance, by adding a specified amount of resin particles formed by coating the surfaces of specified resin articles with a specified organic acid metal salt to a tread rubber composition. CONSTITUTION:A large pneumatic tire provided with a tread part, a side wall part and a bead part, wherein said tread part is composed of a vulcanizable composition comprising 100pts.wt. stock rubber comprising an isoprene rubber, a styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber or a combination thereof, 1-10pts.wt. resin particles prepared by coating the surfaces of particles of a resin based on 5-methyl-1,4-hexadiene and propylene and/or ethylene and represented by the formula (wherein R is H or CH3, and m is 5-100) with an alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid metal salt, and at least 4pts.wt., per pt.wt. this resin, reinforcing carbon black of an iodine adsorption >=85mg/g and a DBP absorption >=100mol./100g. By this improvement, it is possible to improve the cutting resistance and abrasion resistance of a tire and to improve markedly its life under conditions on a bed road.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bladder for vulcanizing a tire capable of assuring a desired inner liner gage even when a crude tire using a very thin unvulcanized rubber sheet member for the inner liner is vulcanization molded. SOLUTION: A plurality of oblique vent grooves 16 are circumferentially formed on an outer periphery of a bladder body 14 of the bladder 10 for vulcanizing the tire, and a net-like vent grooves 18 are formed between the grooves 16. Since a depth of each groove is set to 0.1 to 0.2 mm, even when the unvulcanized rubber sheet for the very thin inner liner is used for the inner surface of the crude tire due to an expansion of the bladder, a local flow of the rubber when pressure contacted with the tire is suppressed, and the gage of the liner when the product is produced can be assured.

SOLUTION: When a storage tank 22 for storing a rubber composition liquid 20 is disposed under a tire molding drum 24 and the drum 24 is rotated one revolution or more, the composition liquid 20 is coated on the outer peripheral surface of the drum 24. When the coated liquid 20 is dried, a thin annular unvulcanized inner line member having a predetermined thickness is obtained on the outer peripheral surface of the drum 24. Thereafter, as prior art, a tire constituting member is mounted to complete a raw tire, and the raw tire is vulcanized in the mold.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inner liner capable of efficiently manufacturing the inner liner having excellent internal pressure retentivity, oxygen impermeability, a thin thickness and a light weight without bringing about a defect such as a wrinkle, a damage or the like. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the inner liner comprises the steps of molding a rubber composition for the inner liner containing at least a rubber curing agent in a sheet material, and then heat treating the one surface of the sheet material before vulcanizing. The rubber composition for the inner liner preferably contains a rubber component containing a halogenated butyl rubber and a plate-like filler. The rubber curing agent preferably contains at least one type selected from the group consisting of a poly-p-dinitrosobenzene, an amino compound and a phenol formaldehyde resin.
