    Abstract: Método de recauchutado que comprende los pasos de: transportar a lo largo del trayecto de un transportador (10, 40) que pasa por junto a una cuchilla (31) una cantidad predeterminada de un material (Tpc) que constituye una banda de rodadura vulcanizada y está moldeado en forma de una cinta continua que tiene un dibujo de una banda de rodadura; cortar el material (Tpc) que constituye la banda de rodadura en el trayecto del transportador (10, 40) con la cuchilla (31) en una parte del material que constituye la banda de rodadura a cortar; y arrollar sobre una cubierta básica (T3) el material (Tpc) que constituye la banda de rodadura y ha sido así cortado y unir los bordes anterior y posterior del mismo; estando dicho método de recauchutado caracterizado por comprender los pasos de: fotografiar una imagen (Pt) del dibujo de la banda de rodadura en una zona del material (Tpc) que constituye la banda de rodadura que como tal zona incluye dicha parte a cortar; comparar la imagen (Pt) del dibujo dela banda de rodadura fotografiado con una imagen (Pm) del dibujo de la banda de rodadura que ha sido almacenada de antemano para detectar una cantidad de desviación (d) entre ellas; juzgar si la cantidad de desviación (d) está o no está dentro de una gama de valores admisible (á); desplazar uno de los miembros del grupo que consta del material (Tpc) que constituye la banda de rodadura y de la cuchilla (31) para así dar a dichos miembros de dicho grupo un desplazamiento relativo entre sí de forma tal que dicho desplazamiento sea igual a la cantidad de desviación (d) tras haber juzgado que la cantidad de desviación no está situada dentro de la gama de valores admisible (á); cortar el material (Tpc) que constituye la banda de rodadura en dicha parte a cortar que ha sido o no ha sido desplazada relativamente; y llevar a continuación de ello a cabo dicho paso de arrollar sobre la cubierta básica (T3) el material (Tpc) que constituye la banda de rodadura para unir los bordes anterior y posteriordel mismo.

    Abstract: A method of measuring a gauge of used rubber portion of a buffed tire with an enhanced efficiency and high accuracy is disclosed, and in this method, workability of a buffing process can be improved. A buffing method is also disclosed which enhances a production efficiency of recaps, maintaining high levels of workability of the buffing process and quality of the recaps. An eddy-current sensor is used to measure a gauge g of used rubber portion or a thickness from an outer circumferential surface to a belt layer in a buffed tire to recap the tire, and voltages detected by the eddy-current sensor is converted in accordance with a conversion method designated to each of types of belt configuration to compute a real distance of the gauge of the used rubber portion. Also, after a buffed tire is rebuffed along its preliminarily buffed outer circumferential extension, the eddy-current sensor is used to measure a gauge g of used rubber portion or a thickness from an outer circumferential surface to a belt layer of preliminarily buffed tire T2, and then, an outer circumferential belt length Lb is computed from an outer circumferential length Lo of the preliminarily buffed tire and the gauge g previously measured. The outer circumferential belt length Lb is classified depending upon a tolerance for acceptable performance, a single outer circumferential length Lc of the buffed tire is specified to each of classified types of the outer circumferential belt length Lb, and the buffed tire is shaved along its outer circumference to have the outer circumferential length Lc as previously determined, so as to finish and shape the used tire into a base tire T3.
