Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize good run-flat traveling by using a specific steel cord for a carcass ply and keeping a tensile stress of a covered rubber of the carcass ply within a specific range and to also improve comfortability to ride and a rolling resistance during usual internal pressure traveling. SOLUTION: A rupture elongation of a buried steel cord of at least one carcass plies is 3.5% or more, preferably 4.0% or more. When the elongation is less than 3.5%, the steel cord itself is not preferable at the point of a fatigue durability. Further, a tensile stress at a 50% elongation of a rubber component used for a carcass ply is 0.5 to 3.0 MPa, preferably 1.5 to 2.0 MPa. When the tensile stress is lower than 0.5 MPa, a durability of a neighborhood to a belt edge is deteriorated during usual internal pressure traveling and a damage such as a separation of the belt 4 and the carcass 2, etc., is caused. When the tensile stress is higher than 3.0 MPa, comfortability to ride cannot be improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a lightweight property, low rolling resistance and durability in an actual travel and an aging effect by including a specific quantity of a specific vulcanization accelerator in at least one kind of case rubber to form an inner liner arranged in direct contact with the inner side face of a carcass layer. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass layer extending astride a pair of bead sections and a tread section located on the crown section of the carcass layer, and an inner liner layer is formed on the inner side face of the carcass layer. The inner liner has the gauge of 0.1-0.6 mm, and it contains a vulcanization accelerator expressed by the formula I or II in one kind of case rubber selected from coating rubber for a carcass ply, coating rubber for a belt play and a bead filler at the ratio of 0.5-5.0 pts.wt. against the raw material rubber 100 pts.wt., where R1, R2 indicate each hydrogen atom, alkyl group or aryl group.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize good run-flat traveling without injuring comfortability to ride during usual internal pressure traveling by passing at least one carcass plies through between a pair of bead cores and terminating at a neighborhood of the bead cores. SOLUTION: A carcass ply 2 passes through between a pair of bead cores 8a, 8b and is terminated to a neighborhood of the bead cores in a bead portion 8 comprising a pair of upper and lower bead cores 8a, 8b against a tire-radial direction. Preferably, the carcass ply 2 passes through between a pair of bead cores 8a, 8b and is bent down in the bead portion 8 comprising a pair of upper and lower bead cores 8a, 8b against the tire-radial direction, or the carcass ply 2 passes through a tire-axial outside of a rubber reinforcing layer and an axial inside of a bead filler 9 and an edge of the carcass ply 2 is not positioned at an axial outside of the bead filler 9. Thereby, it is prevented that an extreme compressive strain is added to a carcass ply bent portion of the bead portion during run-flat traveling.

When the tensile stress is bigger than 3.5 MPa, comfortability to ride cannot be improved.
