    Abstract: In a tire for a levitation-type vehicle for supporting a load which varies depending upon a change in speed of the levitation-type vehicle at landing and during subsequent traveling thereof, a configuration of a crown and rigidity of the crown are set so as to have a ground-contact configuration in which, when a load of the levitation-type vehicle is equal to or less than 45% at its full load, a ratio of a ground-contact length of a pair of shoulders in a circumferential direction of the tire with respect to a ground-contact length, in the circumferential direction of the tire, of a central portion of the crown in the widthwise direction is 0.6 SIMILAR 1.5. Accordingly, the tire for the levitation-type vehicle has a wide ground-contact area at an initial stage of landing and traveling.

According to this construction, the reduction of heat accumulated quantity and the reduction of cooling effect can be achieved so that durability can be improved.

The sizes of the belts 56 in the width direction of the tire are formed narrower and narrower as the belt are positioned more outside in the radial direction of the tire in turn. According to this construction, rigidity in the circumferential direction of the tire is improved to be effectively applied to centrifugal force during high speed so that durability and anti-standing wave property can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease the total number of tires, in a tire for magnetic floating linear motor car, by forming a guide part opposing to a traveling guide side wall at the side part of the tire, and roughness in a contact surface with the side wall to decrease rigidity and using a supporting tire and a guide tire in common. CONSTITUTION:A guide part 36 is formed, opposing to a side wall 16, at the side part of a tire 14, and a rectangular protruding part 42 is formed in a prescribed block pattern at an opposing surface to the side wall 16 to be brought in contact with the side wall 16. At a result, the rigidity of the guide part 36 decreases to prevent the guide part from being damaged by a sliding action against the side wall. It is thus possible to use a supporting tire and a guide tire in common and decrease the number of tires.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the partial wear of a pneumatic tire by partitioning the outermost shoulder rib among a number of ribs partitioned by broad main grooves that are extended in the circumferential direction into two land regions that are continuous in the axial direction through stepped area. CONSTITUTION:In a pneumatic tire in which a tread 1 is divided into at least three ribs 3 and 4 by at least two broad main grooves 2 that are extended in a zigzag along the circumferential direction of the tire, a shoulder rib 3 positioned at the outermost side of the tread 1 among the ribs is partitioned into at least two land regions 5 and 6 in the axial direction of the tire. In addition, a stepped area 10 that forms a step between these land regions 5 and 6 connects the adjacent land regions 5 and 6together that the inside end B of the outside land region 5 can be positioned low in the radial direction of the tire as compared with the outside end A of the inside land region 6. In this case, the width W5 of the land region 5 is set to 2 to 15% of the tread width T and the amount of step is set below 4% of the tread width T.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce uneven abrasion of a tire in which the tread is divided into at least three ribs by main grooves extending in the circumferential direction of the tire, by sectioning each outside shoulder rib into at least two land sections having different height in the tire axial direction. CONSTITUTION:In a pneumatic tire in which the tread 1 is divided into at least two ribs 3, 4 by at least two main wide zigzag grooves 2 extending generally in the peripheral direction of the tire 1, the shoulder rib 3 positioned at each outermost side of the tread is sectioned into two land section areas 5, 6 in the axial direction. Further, the outer surface 5a of the outer land section area 5 is positioned lower, in the radial direction of the tire, than the prolonged line 6b of the outer surface 6a of the inner land area 6 between the adjacent land section areas 5, 6, as viewed in the cross-section of the tire. With this arrangement, the generation of local abrasion is effectively prevented in the vicinity of the outer end of the land section area 5 or the outer end of the shoulder rib 3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To utilize both end parts and facilitate reproduction by setting length in tire width direction in relation to ground width in full load condition to the predetermined %, and mounting a tread for exchange in which organic fiber layer is imbedded at the center of tread in the width direction and the most outside section, in a tire of a magnetic floating type linear motor car. CONSTITUTION:A convex lens type tread for exchange 42 in which the outside and inside in radial direction expand in arc shape is attached to the center of a crown part 38 in tire width direction. The thickness dimension C of the center in tire width direction becomes the maximum dimension on accent of this process. At this time, width A of the tread for exchange 42 is set to 30 to 70 % in relation to ground width B of wear part of a tire 14 namely in full load condition. Further, the tread for exchange 42 consists of two imbedded organic fiber layers 44 (nylon cord). It is possible to reproduce a radial tire simply without wasting both end parts owing to this constitution.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent peeling off in the vicinity of an indicator and also, facilitate provision, by furnishing interveniently between a tread portion surface and a belt layer indicator layers whose colors are different from that of the rubber layer and which are formed of an organic fibre. CONSTITUTION:Two layers of an indicator layer, 30,32 which consist of an organic fibre such as a nylon fibre or the like, are embedded between a belt 26 and the surface of a tread portion 22. These indicator layers 30, 32 are embedded at an interval which is enough for two layers. And, the indicator layer 30 on the surface side is made to be of yellow and also, cords 31 are arranged at the inclination angle of about 20 degrees against a tire circumference direction. Also, the indicator layer 32 is made to be of red, and cords 33 are inclined at about 20 degrees against the circumference direction. As a result peeling off in the vicinity of an indicator is prevented, and also, provision can be facilitated.
