Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitive body favorably utilized even for a laser printer by incorporating a specified naphthylamine compd. into an electric charge transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:When an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transferring layer are formed on an electrically conductive support to obtain a laminate type electrophotographic sensitive body, a naphthylamine compd. represented by formula I (where each of R and R is H or alkyl) is incorporated into the electric charge transferring layer. In case of a semiconductor laser light source, a phthalocyanine pigment is preferably incorporated into the elec tric charge generating layer. The resulting sensitive body has high sensitivity to white light and the electric charge generating layer is well compatible with the electric charge transferring layer even in the case where the generating layer contains the phthalocyanine pigment having absorption at the wavelength of semiconductor laser light. The sensitivity body exhibits superior char acteristics and can be favorably used as a sensitive body for a semiconductor laser printer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the charge transfer agent having excellent charge transferrability and high safety and allows electrostatic charge to positive on the surface thereof by incorporating a compd. having a diphenoquinone structure into said agent. CONSTITUTION:The transfer of the electrons in the org. photosensitive body is executed by the hopping transfer utilizing the overlaps of the electron clouds at the lowest unoccupied level in the charge transfer material molecule as the electrons generated in a charge generating material are implanted to the lowest unoccupied level. An electron-accepting compd. without having such a chemical structure and substituent which do not hinder an intermolecular interaction or electron transfer is, therefore, incorporated as the charge transfer material into said agent. The compd. having the diphenoquinone structure is, thereupon, incorporated as the charge transfer material into the charge transfer agent. The compd. exhibits the excel lent electron-accepting property even if said compds. has no electron-withdrawing groups such as cyano group and nitro group in structure. Thus, the compd. is capable of increasing the compatibility with resins without degrading the charge transferrability by incorporating various substituents therein. The charge transfer agent which has the good charge transferrability and the high safety and allows the electrostatic charge to positive on the surface thereof is thereby obtd.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a color sensor having simple constitution, inexpensive and having sufficient sensitivity in a visible light region, by combining two or more of org. photo-electric cells using org. dyes having different absorption spectra. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 2 is provided on the back surface of a glass substrate 1 and the first org. photo-electric cell consisting of a metal layer composed of Al or N-type semiconductor layer 31 composed of CdS, a dye (a) layer 41 and a back surface electrode 51 and the second org. photo-electric cell consisting of a metal layer or semiconductor layer 32, a dye (2) layer 42 and a back surface electrode 52 are together provided on said conductive film 2. Further, lead frames 61-63 are provided. By this constitution, dyes having different absorption spectra are different in the photoelectric converting capacity to a certain wavelength and difference in photo-electromotive force appears. Therefore, by forming two or more of org. photo-electric cells using different dyes to combine both of them, a color can be judged from the difference between the electromotive forces of the individual photo-electric cells to light having a certain wavelength and an inexpensive color sensor having sufficient sensitivity in a visible light region is obtained.
