    Abstract: In a window lifter, especially for motor vehicles, comprising a rope guided along a loop and partially in a Bowden-pull sheath (22) and driven by a drive device (12, 12'), a guide profile (18), on which a driver (24) connected to the rope is longitudinally displaceable, and furthermore comprising a deflection part (20) at each of the ends of the guide profile (18), each with a mounting receiving the corresponding end of the Bowden-pull sheath (22), and a rope guide for the rope (16) between the mounting and the guide profile (18), it is proposed that the mounting of at least one of the deflection parts (20) should allow the corresponding end of the Bowden-pull sheath (22) to pivot (angle ss), and that the rope guide of this one deflection part (20) should guide the rope (16) along a deflection arc. This ensures that the deflection piece (20) can be inserted in window lifters (10) at different deflection angles ( alpha 1 or alpha 2) without changes in construction.
