Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A composite material comprises: (A) a natural fiber; (B) at least one kind of thermoplastic polymer; and (C) at least one kind of random copolymer having a molar mass Mof 20,000 g/mol or less at maximum and obtained by copolymerizing (a) ethylene, (b) at least one kind of reactive comonomer selected from (b1) an ethylenically unsaturated C-Cmonocarboxylic acid and (b3) an epoxyester of ethylenically unsaturated C-Cmonocarboxylic acid, and, if necessary, (c) at least one kind of other comonomer.
