Abstract: A security device is provided for use with a receptacle. The security device includes engagement means (6) for allowing engagement of the device to the receptacle in use and closure means (36) capable of closing an opening (28) of the receptacle in use. The device further includes tamper evident means (40) and, with the closure means in a closed position with respect to the opening of the receptacle in use, removal of the closure means from the opening is limited or prevented without damage and/or removal of the tamper evident means. Linking means (12) are provided between the engagement means and the closure means and the linking means allows relative movement of the closure means and the engagement means.
