Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition having excellent crack-growth resistance under repeated application of large strain and high cut resistance and abrasion resistance, by compounding an isoprene rubber, a resin composed mainly of methylhexadiene/propylene and a specific carbon black. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) >=30pts.wt. of a rubber containing >=30wt% isoprene, (B) 1-15pts.wt. of a resin of formula (R is H or CH3; m is 5-100) and composed mainly of methyl-1,4-hexadiene and propylene and/or ethylene and (C) a carbon black having an iodine adsorption of >=40mg/g and a DBP oil absorption of >=90m$/100g. The amount of then carbon black is 2.5 times the weight of the component B. The component B is a resin of formula wherein >=30%, preferably >=60% of the group R is methyl and m is 5-100 and the number-average molecular weight of the resin is 10,000-100,000. The crystal melting point of the polypropylene segment is >=130 deg.C.

PURPOSE:The title rubber which can give a pneumatic tire excellent in wet-skid resistance, rolling resistance, breaking resistance, (partial) abrasion resistance and workability, obtained by random-copolymerizing styrene with 1,3-butadiene so that the obtained copolymer may satisfy specified requirements. CONSTITUTION:Styrene and 1,3-butadiene are dissolved in an organic solvent such as cyclohexane and random-copolymerized in the presence of N2 or the like at a polymerization temperature with amounts of addition of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, n-butyllithium, etc., that the obtained copolymer may satisfy the desired requirements, to obtain the title rubber having a combined styrene content of 10-30wt%, a 1,2-bond content in the butadiene portion of 42-70wt%, a trans-1,4-bond content in that portion >=25wt% and a difference between the trans 1,4-bond content and the cis-1,4-bond content >=8wt%, satisfying the relationships I and II and having a weight-average MW of 35X10 -65X10 , a weight-average MW/number- average MW ratio =2.

PURPOSE:To reduce the in-surface shearing stress and improve high-load durability by setting a rubber sheet layer consisting of the rubber compound containing the short fiber having a specific dimention in a specific ratio between a stiffener in the bead part and a side tread rubber. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire has the carcass piles 3 which consist of the rubber-applied cord layres in which a number of cords are arranged in parallel and the both edge parts are turned-over at the bead wire 2 of the bead part 1 and engaged and a stiffener 4 arranged onto the outer surface in the radial direction of the bead wire 2. Further, a chafer 5 which covers the outside part of the carcass ply 3 in the head part 1 is provided. In this case, a reinforcing lyaer 10 which consists of the rubber compound containing at least eight weight parts of the short fiber having an average diameter of 1mum or less and the ratio between the average length L and the average diameter D, i.e., L/D of 8 or more and has a thickness of 0.2-2.0mm is set between a stiffener 4 and a side tread rubber 8.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent remarkably an appearance of a tyre from deteriorating by uniformly coating the surface of the tyre in a specified thickness with a silicone oil whose principal constituent is dimethyl siloxiane having a specified volatile loss in quantity and viscosity. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a tyre is uniformly coated in a thickness of 5- 20mum with a silicone oil whose principal constituent is dimethyl siloxiane having a volatile loss in quantity of less than 2% and a viscosity of at least 1,000 centistokes at 25 deg.C. In this case, the surface of the tyre is preferably coated with a W/O-type emulsion in which the silicone oil is, for example, emulsified by an emulsifier. This results in the prevention of deterioration in an appearance of the tyre particularly induced by discoloration due to blooming of an amine-type antioxidant, a paraffinic wax and the like during a storage of the tyre for a long period of time.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the high-speed durability and rolling resistance by a method wherein a compound consisting of rubber, carbon black, sulphur and micro organic short fibre is used as bead filler rubber. CONSTITUTION: The compound consisting of 40W100 parts of carbon black, 3W15 parts of sulphur and 3W30 parts of micro organic short fibre to 100 parts of rubber such as natural rubber or the like by weight, is used as the bead filler rubber. The property of micro organic short fibre is as follows: the transition temperature of amorphous part to glass is 30°C or below or 120°C or above; the melting point of crystalline part is 160°C or above; the mean length of short fibres is 0.8W30 micrometers; the mean diameter of short fibres is 0.02W0.8 micrometers; and the ratio of length to diameter is 8W400.
