Abstract: An object of this invention is to efficiently communicate with a plurality of terminals and save power consumption. An information terminal (101) is connected to an access point (102) by radio communication to form one network and also connected to a printer (103) to form another network. The information terminal (101) implements communication with the two networks time-divisionally by slot multiplex. A band necessary of each network is ensured without any overlap of slots assigned to the two networks, the slot in which the information terminal does not communicate with any one of the networks is ensured, and power supply is stopped to a radio communication means at this time, thus saving power consumption.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the time needed for communication by a method wherein an image transmitting speed is designated by the use of a reception instruction signal at the time of calling out, a reception preparation confirmation signal is sent out on reception of the designated transmitting speed on the receiver side, and then reception is performed at the designated image transmitting speed included in the receiving instruction signal. CONSTITUTION:When the calling is instructed by the one-easy-step/abbreviated dialing, a CPU 3 reads a telephone number out of a RAM 5 and calls this number. Then the CPU 3 refers to the abbreviated procedure information stored previously in the RAM 5 and sends the highest image transmitting speed receivable by a receiver by means of a receiving instruction (NSS). At the receiver side, the NSS is received via a network controller 1 and a reception preparation confirming signal (CFR) is sent back. Thereafter the CFR is received at the image transmitting speed designated by the NSS. In such a way, the time needed for a communication control code part can be shortened and then the time needed for communication can also be shortened.

The duration of a call registered by a real time clock 13 is stored in a storage section 12 in the time register operation, after the detection of on-hook of the I/O control section 14, the stored call-duration is outputted from a speaker 17 after 2 seconds as a voice message. The voice message is synthesized by a voice IC 15 and the result is outputted as voice data, amplified by an amplifier 16 and the amplified data are outputted.
