Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve feathering resistance and bleeding resistance by sequentially adhering ink on a material to be recorded from ink containing more surfactant in an ink recording method for forming a secondary color image by superposing at least two types of color inks. SOLUTION: When electric signal information is applied to aluminum electrodes 17-1, 17-2 of heads of a multi-head in an ink jet recorder, a region (n) of a heating head 15 is heated, and ink 21 in contact with the region is flowed toward a material 25 to be recorded. In this case, to form a color image by using a plurality of color inks, the plurality of the inks contain surfactants of different contents from each other. When the two types of the color inks are superposed to form a secondary color in, on the material 25, the inks are sequentially stuck on the material 25 from the ink containing more content of the surfactant to form the image.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the further enlargement of a merit due to employing two kinds of liquid by a method wherein liquid, supplied into a foaming area, and the other liquid, not passing through the foaming area, are not provided with compatibility to ensure the separating condition of these kinds of liquid in a head. SOLUTION: In a liquid discharging head, in which bubbles are guided to the side of a discharging port by a movable member, a first liquid and second liquid are specified so as not to have compatibility. In the liquid discharging head, a second flow passage 16 of liquid for foaming is located above an element substrate 1 provided with a heat generating body 2 for giving heat energy for generating bubbles to liquid while a first flow passage 14, communicated directly with the discharging port 18, is arranged above the second flow passage. The upstream side of the first liquid flow passage is communicated with a first common liquid chamber 15 for supplying the discharging liquid to a plurality of first liquid flow passages while the upstream side of the second liquid flow passage is communicated with a second common liquid chamber for supplying the liquid into a plurality of second liquid flow passages.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the interference of a coloring material with the movement of a movable member and also prevent the coloring material from being mixed into a bubble generating area by making the granular diameter of a coloring material contained in a first liquid used for a liquid discharge head which guides a bubble to the discharge orifice side by a movable member larger than the width of a slit between the movable member and its periphery. SOLUTION: A first liquid (discharging liquid) is supplied to a first common liquid chamber 15 and then to a first liquid flow path 14 through a first liquid supply path 20 as shown by an arrow mark C, while a second liquid (blowing liquid) is supplied to a second supplied liquid chamber 17 and then to a second liquid flow path 16 through a second liquid supply path 21 as shown by an arrow mark D. The liquid as the discharging liquid is required to have a coloring material whose granular diameter is larger than the width of a slit between a movable member 31 and its periphery. Thus there are no possibilities that the coloring material should interfere with the slit part and consequently, the operation of the movable member 31 should be hampered. In addition, there is no fear that the coloring material should be mixed with the blowing liquid side, hence no problem such as scorching or deposition of the coloring material on a heater.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an ink excellent in resistance to the solidification of ink and the clogging with ink and enabling the quickly-fixing high-precision and high-quality recording even to a plain paper by using a dicarboxylic acid organic amine salt in combination with a monohydric aliphatic alcohol. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink is produced by using, in addition to a recording agent and a liquid medium for dissolving or dispersing the agent, (A) preferably 0.1-10.0wt.% of an organic amine salt (preferably triethanolamine salt or triethylamine salt) of a dicarboxylic acid (e.g. maleic acid or citraconic acid) in combination with (B) preferably 0.1-10.0wt.% of a monohydric aliphatic alcohol (preferably ethanol or isopropanol in the case of plain paper).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an ink improved in the prevention of clogging at a printer head and in recording properties by dissolving or dispersing a recording agent and an organic amine salt of a dicarboxylic acid in a liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:A recording agent and 0.1-10.0wt.% organic amine salt of a dicarboxylic acid are dispersed or dissolved in a liquid medium consisting of 30-95wt.% water and 1-40wt.% water-soluble organic solvent, and the pH is adjusted to 6.0 to 8.0, giving an ink 21. The ink 21 is put between a plate 13 with a groove 14 for passing the ink and a heat generating head 15 consisting of a protective film 16, Al electrodes 17-1 and 17-2, a heat generating resistor layer 18, a heat storage layer 19, and a base plate 20. An electric signal is applied to the electrodes 17-1 and 17-2 to cause the head 15 to generate heat in the region n to thereby produce air bubbles in the ink 21 so that the meniscus 23 of the ink 21 projects from an orifice 22 and the ink is deposited as recording droplets 24 on a recording medium 25.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method, an ink cartridge and the like whereby fluorescent properties can be fully applied to a recording part by making full use of fluorescent characteristics of a fluorescent coloring materials, a high fluorescence intensity, a superior printing quality including colorability, and a high reliability including ink storage stability and discharge ability can be obtained, and the stability and reliability of recording objects can be improved. SOLUTION: The recording method includes a process of supplying ink supplied from an ink tank which is provided with an ink contact liquid member and the ink in contact with the member to a material to be recorded via a gap, and uses at least a water ink having the fluorescent coloring material, a nonionic surfactant, a compound incompatible with the nonionic surfactant, and a liquid medium for dissolving or dispersing these. The ink contact liquid member includes a compound selected from the group consisting of polyacetates and polyolefins.
