Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain stable potential characteristics by providing a surface layer containing a polyamide resin which is grafted with a polymer or a copolymer containing a specific unit ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A surface layer containing a polyamide resin, which is grafted with a polymer or a copolymer containing a unit ingredient represented by a formula I, is provided. In the formula I, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, while R2 and R3 represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, or a substituted or non-substituted aryl group. R2 and R3 may be the same or different. R2 and R3 may be bonded together via a bonding group and form a ring. Thus, a high quality picture can be stably supplied without dotted fogging due to uneven electrification or a defective picture resulting from the dielectric breakdown of a photosensitive body due to discharging.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the generation or injection efficiency of electric carriers or both inside a photosensitive layer and to enhance sensitivity and potential stability at the time of repeated uses by using a specified disazo pigment in the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body contains the disazo pigment represented by formula I in which each of Ar1 and Ar2 is an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or hetero ring; each of R1 and R2 is H, alkyl, or the like; and each of A1 and A2 is a coupler residue. The electrophotographic sensitive body rotates around a shaft 1a as a center at a constant peripheral velocity in the arrow direction, subjected to uniform charging to a prescribed positive or negative potential on its circumference by a charging means 2 in the course of rotation, undergoes imagewise exposure L by an exposing means 3 to successively form electrostatic latent images in accordance with exposed images on the circumference, and they are developed with a toner by a developing means 4, and then, the toner images are transferred onto a transfer paper supplied by a transfer means 5 in synchronism with the rotation of the photosensitive body 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain a stable function and to prevent deterioration of an electrifying member and a photosensitive body by utilizing the electrifying member with density maintained in the range of 35 deg.C to 55 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:The organic photosensitive body 1 for laser shots, the electrifying member 2 to carry out electrification directly, a developing device 4, a paper feeding roll and a paper feeding guide 5, a transfer electrifying device 6, and a cleaner 7 are provided. Then, the electrifying process where the photosensitive body surface is electrified by impressing voltage by bringing the electrifying member 2 in contact with the electrophotographic photosensitive body 1 is utilized, and this is carried out with the temperature of the electrifying member 2 maintained within the range of 35 deg.C to 55 deg.C. Thus, the stable electrifying characteristic against variation in environment such as the temperature or humidity is maintained and the influence of ozone, etc., is reduced.
