Abstract:
Disclosed is technology capable of improving operability of a multi-function image processing apparatus with simple inexpensive structure and easily designing necessary system software. After start-up, the apparatus is connected to an IPv6 router on a network, prefix information is acquired from the router, there is generated an IP address unique to each of image processing functions such as printing, scanning and FAXing on basis of the acquired prefix information, the apparatus communicates with other appliance on the network by use of the IP address generated for every image processing function, and each image processing function operates corresponding to a result of the communication. Transfer task transfers data to be inputted and outputted among print task, scan task and facsimile task by use of IP addresses each different for every function, and the respective tasks run on time-division basis using a task switchover by OS.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a data communication apparatus having an error correction communication mode in half duplex operation and method. The data communication apparatus has a memory for storing a received data, and means which detects an overflow in the memory and presence of an error in the received data and requests re-sending in accordance with this detection result.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus individually reads a predetermined white reference plate by flickering light sources of the respective colors before an original image is read by sequentially turning on the light sources during one line sync period. The flickering duty ratio of the light source obtained when the white reference plate is read is set for each color so as to maximize the output value from an A/D converter within its predetermined conversion range. When an original is read, the image reading apparatus changes the emission color by switching the light source to be flickered every line sync period, and turns on the light sources of the respective colors in accordance with different duty ratios set for these colors.
Abstract:
A reader for a facsimile apparatus comprises a line buffer capable of storing at least one line of read raw data and an image buffer for storing encoded image data, for reading an image in synchronism with a line sync signal. The image is continuously read at a period of the line sync signal until the image buffer becomes full, and after the image buffer has become full, the image is read at a period of at least two line sync signals, and when a vacent area of the image buffer subsequently exceeds a predetermined volume, the image is again read continuously at the period of the line sync signal.
