    Abstract: A fluid filter system is provided having a canister (20), a bowl (100), and a filter (50) positioned inside the canister (20). The filter (50) includes a sleeve (59) defining a reservoir (52) with filter media (51) surrounding the reservoir (52). A cover (40) is disposed on a first end (61) of the sleeve (59) and an end cap (80) is disposed on a second end (62) of the sleeve (59), the end cap (80) having a lid (81) extending across the filter media (51) and sleeve (59). The bowl (100) includes a sidewall (102), a floor (101), and an upper edge (105). The bowl (100) further includes an upstanding post (110) extending from a floor (101) and the lid (81) further includes a pocket (70) formed along the lid (81). The pocket (70) defines a cavity (75) disposed outside of the reservoir (52) and includes a threaded portion (79) configured to threadably receive the upstanding post (110) of the bowl (100). An O-ring seal (108) provides a seal between the bowl (100) and the canister (20) when the upstanding post (110) is threaded to the pocket (70).
