Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very low temperature freezer with minimum thermal conductivity wherein it has a flat inner wall and outer wall, and further has a maximum storage capacity at a low cost. SOLUTION: There is provided a very low temperature freezer 10 configured into a rectangular parallelepiped, which provides an additional storage capacity. An inside container 12 having four walls and one bottom surface is provided, and the inside container 12 is surrounded by an outside container 14 having also four walls and one bottom surface. The inside and outside containers are coupled at the top sides thereof such that a vacuum space 16 is formed therebetween. There is arranged in the vacuum space a layer where a reflection heat insulating member 18 comprising a three dimensional geometrical grid (geodesic structure) and a support member 22 are alternately disposed. The very low temperature freezer further includes a cover 26 covering the inside of the freezer. A heat insulation very low temperature freezer is constructed by drawing the vacuum space. The support grid prevents the wall from being deformed and collapsed owing to a pressure difference.
