Abstract: Nitrosoureas(I; R,R2,R5 = H, alkyl, aralkyl, acyl; R1,R2 = alkylidene, cycloalkylidene; R6 = alkyl) were prepd. by reaction of amines(II) and N-nitroso-N-R6-carbamic acid(III). Thus, N-nitroso-methyl-carbamylazide was methylated and subjected to ethanolysis to give ethyl-6-amino-6-deoxy-5-o-methyl-α-D-glucofuranoside, which was reduced to the amine, treated with MeNCO and hydrogenated to give ethyl-6-deoxy-5-o-methyl-6-(3-methyl-3-nitrosoureido)-α-D-glucofuranoside, which at 25-500 mg/kg i.p. in mice have 80-100% inhabitions of various tumors.
