Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal stability, strength at the time of usage and calcium compatibility and useful for use of an industrial lubricant such as a compressor oil, a hydraulic machinery oil, a turbine oil and the like by including an effective stabilizing amount of a hydrotreated oil, a specific metal inactivating agent and the like. SOLUTION: (A) A hydrotreated oil or a hydrodewaxed oil, (B) an effective stabilizing amount of a metal inactivating agent of formula I or formula II (R1 is H or a 1-12C alkyl; R2 and R3 are each H, a 1-20C alkyl or the like), (C) an effective amount of a sterically hindered phenol-based antioxidant, (D) an effective amount of an aromatic amine-based antioxidant, (E) an effective amount of an alkylphenoxyalkanoic acid of formula III (R6 to R10 are each H, a 1-20C alkyl; Y is a group of -CH2-, a group of -CH2-CH2- or the like) and (F) an effective amount of an n-acylsarcosine derivative of formula IV [an acyl group R11-C(=O)- is a residual group of a 10-20C fatty acid; X+ is H ion or the like] are included.

Abstract: The instant invention relates to a lubricant composition stabilized against the deleterious effects of heat and oxygen. The composition comprises a hydrotreated or hydrodewaxed oil and an effective antioxidant stabilizing amount of a mixture of a phenolic antioxidant; an N,N-disubstituted aminomethyl-1,2,4-triazole; an aromatic amine antioxidant; an alkyl phenoxy alkanoic acid; and an n-acyl sarcosine derivative. Optionally, further additives are added to the subject lubricant Compositions.
