    Abstract: The present invention relates to a mechanism for moving coplanar doors of a piece of furniture or other furniture item. The mechanism comprises at least one moving unit for moving at least one of said doors. Such a unit comprises a supporting member mobile along a longitudinal direction and a connection bracket supported by the supporting member and connectable to said door. The mechanism equally comprises a guiding member for guiding the bracket between a first and a second operating position characteristic of a coplanar door condition and of parallel, non-coplanar door condition, respectively. Such a guiding member is fixed to the piece of furniture during the movement of the bracket between the first and second operating position and becomes integral to the bracket when the bracket reaches the second operating position.
