Abstract: A water-cooled mold for low-pressure casting of an aluminum alloy wheel includes an upper mold, a lower mold and a side mold which surround a cavity of aluminum alloy, in which a cooling insert is embedded into a side mold frame of the side mold; an upper parting surface, a lower parting surface and a side parting surface of the cooling insert are respectively in contact parting with the side mold frame, the side parting surface includes a front zone and a rear straight zone, and a gap of 1.5-2.5 mm is formed between the rear straight zone and the side mold frame.

Abstract: The present invention provides a side-mold water spot-cooling device for cooling a casting mold, a manufacturing method thereof and a method for cooling a casting mold by the device. The technical solution of the present invention has the following technical effects: an open-type backwater structure is employed, not only eliminating the back pressure from the backwater process without adding the supercharging equipment, but also reducing the investment costs of the equipment; reducing requirements for the sealing elements, thereby reducing costs for fittings; greatly reducing use of the joints and reducing the manufacturing, maintenance difficulty and costs of the mold; and the structure is substantially the same as that of the air-cooled mold and is easy for promotion.

Abstract: The present invention provides a water spot cooling device of a bottom mold for wheel hub casting, a method for cooling a bottom mold by using the device, and a method for manufacturing the device. The device and the method of the present invention have the advantages that multi-path spot cooling required by spoke cooling is integrated into one device; the influence of backwater on the mold is eliminated and stable production is benefited; the effluent water from the multi-path spot cooling is gathered to one backwater opening through a backwater crossing and a backwater annular passage, thereby simplifying a backwater device and making the pipeline connection of the device simpler; and there is no special part in the whole device so that the machining cost is reduced and the maintenance is more convenient.

Abstract: The present invention provides a water cooled mold for casting aluminum alloy wheels and a manufacturing method thereof. The water cooled mold is provided with first-type water cooling channels with high heat exchange efficiency and second-type water cooling channels with low heat exchange efficiency. The first-type water cooling channels are concave grooves through which cooling water flows, and a cooling surface of the mold is in contact with open surfaces of the concave grooves. The second-type water cooling channels are grooves with stainless steel pipes, and the stainless steel pipes are in contact with the cooling surface of the mold. The second-type water cooling channels are installed on mold portions corresponding to wheel window positions of a cavity, and the first-type water cooling channels are installed on mold portions corresponding to spokes, flanges and rims of the cavity. The water cooled mold of the present invention is capable of accurately controlling a direction and a range of cooling within a three-dimensional space; the use of a thermal insulating groove is omitted so that the mold can be manufactured more simply and the service life of the mold can be prolonged; the cooling efficiency is high and resources are saved; and the whole device is simple to manufacture and low in cost.

Abstract: An automobile hub with a hollow rim includes a wheel disc and the rim with at least one hollow cavity, in which the rim includes at least two mutually nested rings and an axial end cap at the same ends of the at least two rings, and the hollow cavity consists of the rings and the axial end cap. The outer side of one end of the wheel disc includes axial rim mounting grooves, and the rim is inserted into the rim mounting grooves and fixed to the wheel disc through the end without the axial end cap. By employing the automobile hub with the hollow rim, the hub assembling method, and the automobile having the hub, the weight of the hub can be further reduced, and the hub has sufficient strength.

Abstract: The present invention provides a water cooled mold for casting aluminum alloy wheels and a manufacturing method thereof.
