Abstract: The invention comprises a microwaveable frozen food product which includes a container adapted to receive added water, a quantity of individually quick frozen constituents therein and a dry sauce concentrate such as a concentrated roux. These elements can be configured to enhance uniform heating so that intermittent stirring is not necessary when heating with microwave energy. The concentrated roux is adapted to enhance the absorption of added water and is used to shorten the preparation time. Methods for producing the frozen food product and preparing it for consumption are also provided wherein water is added and the product heated with a source of microwave power.
