Abstract:
Granules are provided that are useful for oxidizing applications when the granules are dissolved in the presence of an active oxygen source. These granules include a salt having the structure of formula (I), wherein A, R1, R2, R3, Y and Z are as defined in the disclosure. The salt is carried by, coated with, or admixed with a solid particulate such as silica gel, silicic acid, silicate, aluminum oxide, clay, aluminum silicate, or mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
An improved cleaning composition is provided for shower and tub surfaces which is of the "shower rinsing" type, requiring no scrubbing, wiping, or immediate rinsing. The composition comprises: (a) a glycoside surfactant, the total amount of said surfactant being present in a cleaning effective amount; (b) a chelating agent, said chelating agent present in an amount effective to enhance bathroom soil removal in said composition; and (c) the remainder, water. A solvent such as isopropyl alcohol may also be added. The employment of a glycoside surfactant, especially one having an HLB value of greater than 13, remarkably improves the performance of such a shower rinsing composition both with respect to surface appearance streaking and filming and also bathroom soil and soap scum removing ability.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method and product for mitigating or eliminating p et malodor(s) with an aqueous liquid deodorizing composition, the composition containing about at least 0.02% to about 10% of an dialkali metal tetraborate n-hydrate (with n being an integer from 1 to 10), 0.1-3% water soluble/dispersible polymer, 1-20% water soluble/dispersible volatile solvent, at least 75% water.
Abstract:
Granules are provided that are useful for oxidizing applications when the granules are dissolved in the presence of an active oxygen source. These granules include a salt having the structure of Formula I FORMULA I wherein A is a saturated ring formed by a plurality of atoms in addition to the N1 atom, the saturated ring atoms including at least one carbon atom and at least one of O, S, and N atoms, the substituent R1 bound to the N1 atom of the Formula I structure including either (a) a C1-24 alkyl or alkoxylated alkyl where the alkoxy is C2-4, (b) a C4-24 cycloalkyl, (c) a C7-24 alkaryl, (d) a repeating or nonrepeating alkoxy or alkoxylated alcohol, where the alkoxy unit is C2-4, or (e) -CR2R3C 3BOND N where R2 and R3 are each H, a C1-24 alkyl, cycloalkyl, or alkaryl, or a repeating or nonrepeating alkoxyl or alkoxylated alcohol where the alkoxy unit is C2-4, the R2 and R3 substituents being each H, a C1-24 alkyl, cycloalkyl, or alkaryl, or a repeating or nonrepeating alkoxyl or alkoxylated alcohol where the alkoxy unit is C2-4, Z is in the range of 0 to 10, and wherein Y is a counterion. The salt is carried by, coated with, or admixed with a solid particulate such as silica gel, silicic acid, silicate, aluminum oxide, clay, aluminum silicate, or mixtures thereof.

Abstract:
A liquid laundry product which thickens in the acidic pH range preferably by combination of an amide, an alkyl sulfate and/or alkyl aryl sulfonate, and a normally insoluble, but solubilized, fluorescent whitening agent containing amine groups. The composition may also contain a peroxide bleaching agent.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a stable liquid, substantially nonaqueous, detergent comprising, by weight percent: a) 20-90% of a liquid portion which comprises an alkoxylated nonionic surfactant; b) a solids portion which comprises: (i) 5-50% of a builder; (ii) 0-20% of an oxidant; said solids being stably suspended in said liquid portion, by means of c) a phase stabilizing amount of a lower alkylated fused ring polyarylene sulfonate; and d) 0-5% of a hydrolytic enzyme. Further desirable adjuncts may be added to the liquid compositions of this invention.
Abstract:
A liquid laundry product which thickens in the acidic pH range by combination of a copolymer containing carboxylic acid groups, a relatively small amount of an amphoteric surfactant or amine oxide, and a soluble sulfonate which is a fluorescent whitening agent or a hydrotrope. The composition may also contain a peroxide bleaching agent.
