Abstract:
Disclosed herein are aqueous cleaning compositions comprising at least one surfactant, at least one modified acrylic polyamide present in the aqueous cleaning composition in an amount ranging from about 0.05% to about 2% by weight of the composition, and dipropylene glycol butyl ether. The cleaning compositions disclosed herein will provide low residue and increased shine and will provide long-lasting, persistent anti-fog properties to a substrate after cleaning. Also disclosed herein are methods of cleaning a substrate comprising applying the aqueous cleaning composition to the substrate and wiping, and the use of at least one surfactant, at least one modified acrylic polyamide, and dipropylene glycol butyl ether in an aqueous cleaning composition to provide shine, low residue, and persistent anti-fog properties to a substrate.
Abstract:
Described herein are home care compositions (e.g., aqueous liquid compositions), which may be used as a hand dishwashing composition, comprising laureth sulfate having 1 moiety or less of an ethylene oxide group, alkyl aryl sulfonate, a blend of C9-11 branched primary alcohols, and an amine oxide or betaine amphoteric surfactant. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described.
Abstract:
Effervescent compositions for preparing home care products and methods for preparing the same are disclosed. The effervescent compositions may include an effervescent base, one or more surfactants, one or more solidifying agents, and one or more disintegrant agents. The effervescent base may include one or more alkali metal carbonates and one or more acids. The one or more alkali metal carbonates and the one or more acids may be present in a weight ratio of from about 1:1 to about 5:1. The effervescent composition may be substantially free of water. The effervescent composition may have a dissolution time of from about 6 min to about 12 min. The method for preparing the effervescent composition may include contacting the effervescent base, the surfactants, the solidifying agents, and the disintegrant agents with one another to prepare a mixture, which may be a homogenous mixture.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition includes at least two anionic surfactants, an ionic agent, a nonionic surfactant and a fragrance. The at least two anionic surfactants include a linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) and a sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES). The LAS and the SLES are present in the cleaning composition in a total amount combined of about 1%-2% by weight. A weight ratio of LAS:SLES is about 3:1 to about 1:1 or about 6:1 to about 4:1. The ionic agent is present in the cleaning composition in an amount of about 0.01% to about 1% by weight. The nonionic surfactant is present in the cleaning composition in an amount of at least about 0.45% by weight.
