    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave resonator having an external temperature compensation device that is not susceptible to a thermal effect. SOLUTION: The microwave resonator with a cavity having a specific volume has an external temperature compensation structure. The temperature compensation structure is formed on a wall of the microwave resonator. When the microwave resonator and the temperature compensation structure are subjected to distortion caused by heat, the temperature compensation structure applies a restoring force to the wall of the microwave resonator so as to distort the wall oppositely against the distortion caused by the heat thereto maintain the specific volume of the cavity.
