Abstract: A computer editing system for editing and creating a multimedia program in a visual workspace (1), which provides a plurality of segments of audio or video data, displays an icon (10) representing each of the segments, associates a first one of the segments (2) with at least one other of the segments, displays an indication of the association of the first to the other of the segments, thereby composing a program of the segments, wherein the program may be played in a sequence determined by a user in accordance with the associations.
