Abstract: base station antenna includes a reflector containing a central reflector panel, a first side reflector panel at a first acute angle relative to the central reflector panel, and a second side reflector panel at a second acute angle relative to the central reflector panel. A multi-beam generator is provided, which is electrically coupled to an array of radiating elements on the first side, central and second side reflector panels. The multibeam generator is configured as: (i) a tri-beam generator with respect to RF signals in a first frequency band, and is further configured as: (ii) a dual-beam generator with respect to first RF signals in a second frequency band, and/or (iii) a dual-beam beamformer with respect to second RF signals in the second frequency band.

The antenna includes a first plurality of high-band radiating elements that extend forward from the first feed board. The antenna includes a second plurality of high-band radiating elements that extend forward from the second feed board. Moreover, the antenna includes a plurality of low-band radiating elements on the first surface of the reflector.

Abstract: A cross-dipole radiating element includes a first antenna element that includes a first stalk and a first dipole arm and a second antenna element that includes a second stalk and a second dipole arm. The first dipole arm includes an inner dipole segment that extends along a first longitudinal axis and an outer dipole segment that extends along a different second longitudinal axis, and the second dipole arm includes an inner dipole segment that extends along a third longitudinal axis and an outer dipole segment that extends along a different fourth longitudinal axis. A distal end of the inner dipole segment of the first dipole arm merges with a base of the outer dipole segment of the first dipole arm, and a distal end of the inner dipole segment of the second dipole arm merges with a base of the outer dipole segment of the second dipole arm.

Abstract: Twin-beam base station antennas include first and second arrays that each have a plurality of radiating elements that are mounted to extend forwardly from respective first and second panels of an angled reflector. The radiating elements in each array extend in three columns, with the radiating elements in the middle column vertically offset from the radiating elements in the outer columns. The antennas further include first and second phase shifters. More than half of the outputs of the first phase shifter are connected to respective first sub-arrays, where each first sub-array includes one radiating element from each of the three columns in the first array, and more than half of the outputs of the second phase shifter are connected to respective second sub-arrays, where each second sub-array includes one radiating element from each of the three columns in the second array.
