Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engagement mechanism with which costs are saved and an assembling process is simplified. SOLUTION: The engagement mechanism suitable for being assembled in a device having a housing is provided. The engagement mechanism includes a post, a latch element, a plunger assembly, and an operation element. The latch element has at least one opening. The plunger assembly is arranged on one side of the latch element. The operation element is connected to the latch element. When the operation element is at a lock position, the post passes through the opening, presses the plunger assembly and is limited by the latch element. When the operation element moves to a non-lock position, the operation element drives the latch element and moves it horizontally in relation to the post, the latch element releases the post from limiting. Abstract: Es wird ein Verriegelungsmechanismus bereitgestellt, der geeignet ist, in eine Vorrichtung mit einem Gehäuse montiert zu werden. Abstract: A fastening mechanism suitable for a device 1000 such as a notebook computer, which comprises a post 370, a latching element 320 with an opening 112, a plunger assembly 340 disposed at a side of the latching element, and an operating element [Fig. 2, 310]. When the device is to be fastened, the post 370 is passed through the opening 112 and presses against the plunger assembly 340, where it is confined by latching element 320. When unfastening the device, the operating element drives the latching element 320 to move perpendicular to the axis of the post (horizontally) to release the post from confinement, where the plunger pushes the post out of the opening. The operating element may be actuated by pressing or sliding, and may have a first inclined plane which contacts a second inclined plane on a guiding block [Fig. 2, 330] attached to the latching element. The plunging assembly may comprise a plunging elastic plate 342, plunger 360, and assisting elastic plate 350. It may further comprise a stopping portion 344 to limit the movement of the latching element.
