Abstract: A system for validating an operation of a capacitor bank is disclosed. The system can include a first capacitor of the capacitor bank electrically coupled to a first power line. The system can also include a first sensor operatively coupled to the first power line, where the first sensor is configured to measure a first representation of power flowing through the first power line. The system can further include a local control system communicably coupled to the first sensor, where the local control system receives the first representation of the power flowing through the first power line from the first sensor, where the local control system validates the operation of the first capacitor based on the first representation.
