Abstract: A system for monitoring one or more aspects of a fuse tube assembly (22) of a fuse cutout (12) comprises: a housing (102) structured to be disposed adjacent to, and coupled to the fuse tube assembly (22); a power source (120) disposed in the housing (102); a processing unit (122) disposed in the housing (102) and electrically coupled to the power source (120); and a motion detecting unit (126) disposed in the housing (102) and electrically coupled to the processing unit (122), the motion detecting unit (126) being structured to detect one or both of position or movement of the housing (102).
