Abstract:
There is provided a host implemented method for redefining at least one user interface element on a secondary device. The method may include connecting the secondary device to the host for communication between the host and the secondary device; redefining the at least one user interface element using an application running on the host; reviewing the at least one user interface element as redefined using the application (possibly including a visual preview of the at least one user interface element as redefined when viewed on the secondary device); determining whether the secondary device is able to support the at least one user interface element as redefined using the application; and incorporating the at least one user interface element redefined using the application onto the secondary device.
Abstract:
An electronic reader device configured to receive at least one set of source data for processing in a manner so as to display at least one electronic reading material. The electronic reader device includes a processing portion and a display portion coupled to the processing portion. The processing portion can be configured to process at least one set of source data in a manner so as to produce graphic data. Graphic data can be communicated to the display portion which can be configured to display graphic data as display data in a stereoscopic display mode. The display data can correspond to a graphic representation. In the stereoscopic display mode, the graphic representation is associable with a three dimensional imaging based graphic representation such that the display data correspond to a graphic representation where at least one portion of the at least one electronic reading material is visually perceivable to be projecting from the display portion.
Abstract:
An electronic device which can include an input portion, a processing portion and a display portion. The processing portion can be coupled to the input portion. The display portion can be coupled to the processing portion. Input signals can be communicated from the input portion. The processing portion can be coupled to the input portion such that input signals are receivable therefrom and processed in a manner so as to produce output signals. The display portion can be coupled to the processing portion such that output signals are receivable therefrom and displayable at the display portion as display data. The input signals can correspond to at least one of graphic data, control data and audio data. The output signals can correspond to at least one of indicator data and character data. The display data can correspond to at least one of character data and indicator data.

Abstract:
There is provided methods for increasing a number of media playback devices served by a communications base station. The communications base station may be for transmitting data using a broadcast video band frequency and both transmitting and receiving data using a mobile broadband frequency. The methods enable the communications base station to serve a greater number of media playback devices in the idle mode compared to a lesser number of media playback devices in the active mode. Both the broadcast video band frequency and the mobile broadband frequency may be a data network such as, for example, WiMAX, HSxPA, HSPA+, LTE and so forth.
