Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a light amplifier which has high performance and little noise, and requires no dichroic connecting device. CONSTITUTION: This light amplifier 1 is formed of a gain clamp type semiconductor amplifier 4 and two active fiber amplifiers or active wave guide amplifiers 2, 3 arranged in the front and rear thereof, respectively. Under the condition of induced radiation, the semiconductor amplifier 4 works as pump radiation to the two active fiber amplifiers or active wave guide amplifiers 2, 3.
