PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector provided with a heat insulating structure, which prevents heat generated in a light source device from being transferred to a case body. SOLUTION: The projector includes the light source device 63, a light source side optical system including a color wheel and a light guiding device, a display element, a projection side optical system, and a cooling fan, and includes a projector controlling means. The inside of the case body of the projector is partitioned into an air discharge side space chamber 122 positioned on the air discharge side of the cooling fan and provided with the light source device 63 in it and an air suction side space chamber positioned on the air suction side of the cooling fan. The upper part of the air discharge side space chamber 122 is covered with an upper partitioning plate 125, and a heat transfer sheet 128 formed of an aluminum sheet is arranged above the upper partitioning plate 125. SOLUTION: The light source device includes: a light source lamp 18 that radiates light; and a reflector 21 that accommodates a light source lamp 18, has an open face from which light from the light source lamp 18 is emitted, and reflects light from the light source lamp 18 by its internal face, thereby emitting the light from the open face. An upper reflecting film 21b and a lower reflecting film 21c, which reflects heat less than the upper reflecting film 21b, are formed on the internal face of the reflector 21. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector 100 where a light source device 210 is easily changed not only when using the projector by placing it on a table but also when using it by hanging it from a ceiling. SOLUTION: The projector 100 incorporates: the light source device 210; a light source device optical system; a display element; a projection side optical system; a cooling fan; and further a circuit board equipped with a lamp power source circuit and a projector control means in a main body case. The projector 100 has apertures through which the light source device 210 is detached on the upper panel 110 and the base panel 160 of the main body case. The aperture on the upper panel 110 is covered with an upper panel cover 117, and the aperture on the base panel 160 is covered with a bottom panel cover 167, then the light source device 210 is fixed on the bottom panel cover 167 by a unit fixing base 273. The projector 1 further includes a fluctuation prevention means closing the prescribed exhaust holes 7 positioned near the projection opening 99 upon projection and opening the exhaust holes 7 upon non-projection. The fluctuation prevention means is a slidable lens cover 51 disposed near the projection opening 99. SOLUTION: The electric apparatus comprises in the enclosure: a first heat source; at least one second heat source that generates less heat than the first heat source; a cooling fan 110 for cooling the first and second heat sources; and an exhaust gas temperature reduction device 114 for reducing the temperature of hot air generated by the cooling fan 110 cooling the first heat source. The electric apparatus is equipped with an exhaust hole 17 for externally discharging the exhaust gas through the exhaust gas temperature reduction device 114.
