    SOLUTION: The projector includes the light source device 63, a light source side optical system including a color wheel and a light guiding device, a display element, a projection side optical system, and a cooling fan, and includes a projector controlling means. The inside of the case body of the projector is partitioned into an air discharge side space chamber 122 positioned on the air discharge side of the cooling fan and provided with the light source device 63 in it and an air suction side space chamber positioned on the air suction side of the cooling fan. The upper part of the air discharge side space chamber 122 is covered with an upper partitioning plate 125, and a heat transfer sheet 128 formed of an aluminum sheet is arranged above the upper partitioning plate 125.
