    Abstract: Embodiments herein describe BKDs that can transmit reply messages using different frequencies than the frequencies of wireless transmissions they receive which can reduce collisions in a Wi-Fi environment. In one embodiment, when transmitting power to be used by a BKD to transmit a reply message, an access point (AP) also includes an parameter that affects the frequency used by the BKD when transmitting its signal. For example, the AP can direct the BKD to use a frequency in a channel that is not used by other Wi-Fi Devices. The BKD can be equipped with a frequency filter that can shift the carrier frequency of the BKD response (compared to the carrier frequency of the energy-bearing signal) allowing the response signal to be transmitted on a different frequency than the one which was received.

    Abstract: Techniques for wireless communication are disclosed. These techniques include determining that a first wireless access point (AP) has a failure to connect to a controller. The techniques further include identifying one or more neighbor APs, for the first AP, as candidate rescue APs, selecting a rescue AP, from among the candidate rescue APs, and establishing a secure connection from the first AP to the rescue AP.     Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a home controller of a home domain and from a first device in the home domain, a first message concerning a user device that is anchored to the home domain and that has roamed from the home domain to a visitor domain. The method also includes, in response to determining that the first device is a router, opening a tunnel between the home controller and a visitor controller of the visitor domain and communicating the first message to the user device through the tunnel. The method further includes receiving, at the home controller and from a second device in the home domain, a second message concerning the user device and in response to determining that the second device is not a router, communicating, to the second device, a proxy response to the second message.

    Abstract: Aspects described herein include a method of automated grouping of client devices for a user-defined network (UDN). The method includes receiving, from a first client device, an authentication request to join an access provider network. The authentication request includes a unique identifier of the first client device. The method also includes transmitting the unique identifier to a UDN cloud and receiving a first list from the UDN cloud. The first list indicates that the UDN is associated with the unique identifier. The method further includes joining the first client device with a second client device present on the access provider network based on a second list from the UDN cloud. The second list indicates that the UDN is associated with the second device.
