Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture of a humidifying element by a method wherein an end of a perforated material pipe is inserted through a hole in a heat-shrinkable sheet, and the sheet is made to shrink by heat, so that the end of an outer pipe can be sealed easily. CONSTITUTION:An end part of an outer pipe 1 is closed by a partition wall 1a, and the partition wall 1a is formed of a heat-shrinkable sheet 3 having a plurality of holes 3a for inserting through perforated material pipes 2. After inserting the perforated material pipe 2 into the hole 3a, the heat-shrinkable sheet 3 is heated to shrink, so that the hole 3a is reduced in diameter. By this, inner peripheral surface of the hole 3a is attached intimately to an end part 2a of the perforated material pipe 2. Thus, the end part 2a of the perforated material pipe 2 can be inserted easily into the hole 3a of the heat-shrinkable sheet 3 before reduction of the diameter, and the end part of the outer pipe 1 can be easily sealed by making the sheet 3 shrink by heat, whereby manufacture of a humidifying element can be facilitated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sufficient humidifying quantity with a minimized size by providing a unit humidifying unit constituted of a shell which works also as a tank to accumulate fed water inside and a number of humidity permeable pipes. CONSTITUTION:A humidifier is provided with a unit humidifying unit U constituted of a shell 1 which works also as a tank to accumulate fed water inside, and a number of humidity permeable pipes 2 which are bundled and arranged in the shell 1 and made of perforated film which allows air to flow inside. Water accumulated in the shell 1, in the form of steam, permeates the humidity permeable pipes 2 arranged in bundle within the shell 1 to humidify air which is made to flow into the pipes 2. As the shell 1 works also as a water feeding tank, the humidifier can be minimized in size. Further, as the whole peripheral surface of the pipes 2 contributes to humidification, humidifying area can be procured widely.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniformly feed heat exchanging medium to the outer periphery of a each fine tube in a laminar flow state, and to improve heat exchanging efficiency by interposing a partition wall for guiding the medium input from an inlet to a connection hole for connecting it to the inside and outside of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of cylindrical partition walls 6 for feeding heat exchanging medium input from an inlet 11 into a casing 1 in a laminar flow along the longitudinal direction of fine tubes 3 to guide it to a connection hole 21 are interposed. The medium fed from an inlet 13 is fed to an extraction port 14 through the tubes 3, and the medium fed from the inlet 11 into the casing 1 is guided by the walls 6, and fed to an outlet 12 in a laminar flow state. The medium guided by the walls 6 is not deflected in the laminar flow state, the medium is preferably brought into contact with the tubes 3 to improve heat transfer efficiency at the outer peripheries of the tubes 3, thereby preferably heat exchanging to the medium fed in the tubes 3.

Meanwhile, a permeable gas (e.g., O2) is permeated through the hollow yarns 15 and taken out from each openings 15a, 15b through low pressure side outlets 17, 18.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high-purity gaseous product by providing an intake port connected with a pressurizing pump means, a takeout port on the permeation side which is connected with an evacuating pump means and a takeout port on the nonpermeation side to a casing in which many pieces of porous hollow yarn formed with membrane material on the surface thereof are built-in. CONSTITUTION:Air is fed under pressure into a casing 11 from an intake 12 with a pressurizing pump means 2 and oxygen is allowed to permeate through porous hollow yarn 16 wherein a nonporous membrane material 17 such as fluorine-contg. acrylate is formed on the surface. Since the permeation side of the hollow yarn 16 is evacuated with an evacuating pump means 6, pressure difference is made large and permeation is performed more favorably. The permeated O2-enriched air is taken out to the outside through a first takeout port 13 and the nonpermeated N2-enriched air is taken out to the outside through a second takeout port 14.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently separate water vapor by providing hollow threads on the surface wherein nonporous material consisting of acrylate containing fluorine is formed in the casing provided with an air taking-in opening, and connecting the taking-out openings of the permeating side and the nonpermeating side of membrane material each other with a condenser between. CONSTITUTION:Air is supplied from the air taking-in opening 12 into the casing 11, and the air exists between a supporting body 18 and an air intercepting wall 19. Water vapor and O2 are permeated and separated through porous hollow threads 16 on the outer surface wherein nonporous material consisting of acrylate containing fluorine is formed. O2-enriched air of high humidity is taken out from a 1st taking-out opening 13 through the inner parts of the hollow threads 16 and a flowing-out chamber 11c, while nonpermeating N2 is taken out as an N2-enriched air from a 2nd taking-out opening 14 through connecting openings 18a. The O2-enriched air of high humidity is flowed through the condenser 5 to remove the water component and mixed with the N2-enriched air of low humidity.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a precursor of hollow yarn having desired lease angle more simply than conventional process by allowing a yarn suspending device having plural bins protruded radially thereon to confront each other interposing a porous pipe and knitting traversely with a specified angle of lease while suspending the yarn on the bins. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of yarn suspending devices 31, 41 having radially protruded bins 311, 411 interposing a porous pipe 1 are arranged. Hollow yarn 5 drawn from a bobbin 109 is fixed to one of the supporting shafts 2, and the supporting shaft 2, porous pipe 1, yarn suspending device 31, 41, are turned with specified direction continuously with a pulse motor 101. On one hand, a traverse cam 105 is driven with a pulse motor 108 to cause reciprocating motion of a traversing bed 107 to execute traverse knitting of the hollow yarn on the porous pipe 1. The angle of lease is decided by the ratio of number of revolution of the porous pipe 1 to the speed of the traversing bed 107, which is regulated to 1-30 deg.. Then, the yarn suspending device 31 is exchanged with a device 41 and the traverse knitting is continued. Thus, a desired precursor of the hollow yarn bundle is obtd. Then, cottom yarn is wound around the precursor, and the hollow yarn 5 is cut in the inside of the winding device 31.

From the resulting molding are extracted solvent-sol. matters and the inorg. powder to obtain the objective film. Thus, the objective porous film having a void content of 50% or higher and characteristics suitable for a humidifier is easily and surely obtd.

CONSTITUTION:Porous fine tubes 2 have a large number of fine pours 3 on the circumferential surfaces 1a of fine tubes 1 and bent into an arched shape to form humidifying elements 11, 21 and 31. Water can be absorbed into the porous fine tubes 2. Thus, humidifying modules Z1-Z3 are constituted, and in a humidifier, air is sent to the humidifying modules Z1-Z3 from the direction nearly parallel to the curved surface of the porous fine tubes 2. An air- conditioner 51 is provided with the humidifier in such a manner that the humidifier is concentrically attached around the periphery of a cross flow fan 54 of the air-conditioner 51 and its relative position is changeable and adjustable in the circumferential direction.
