    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the constitution of a crystal resonator with low erroneous recognition and to provide the crystal resonator with stable electrical characteristic and high reliability when the coating state of a joining material is detected by a photoelectric sensor. CONSTITUTION:Supporting bodies 21, 22 provided with slits for crystal plate insertion are spot-welded on a base 1. The supporting bodies 21, 22 are nickel- plated, and the surfaces of them display silver color. The crystal plate 3 on which excitation electrodes 31, 32 are formed is loaded between the supporting bodies 21, 22, and they are joined electrically/mechanically with a conductive joining material. The conductive joining material is formed in paste shape in which an adhesive of epoxy resin system, etc., a solvent, and silver of particulate shape are mixed, and the surface color of the material after hardening displays a color of brown color series. When a joining part is detected by the photoelectric sensor, the presence/absence of the joining material can be surely discriminated since the colors of them are different.
