Abstract: Molding mass comprises a polyamine-polyamide graft copolymer and a thermoplastic polyester. The graft copolymer is prepared from a branched polyamine and, as polyamide-forming monomers, lactams, omega -aminocarboxylic acids and/or equimolar amounts of diamines and dicarboxylic acids. Molding mass (A) comprises 0.1-5 weight parts of a polyamine-polyamide graft copolymer (I) and 95-99.9 weight parts thermoplastic polyester (II). (I) is prepared from 0.5-25 wt.% of a branched polyamine with at least 4 nitrogen atoms and number average molecular weight at least 146, and, as polyamide-forming monomers, lactams, omega-aminocarboxylic acids and/or equimolar amounts of diamines and dicarboxylic acids. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) mass (A') for injection molding comprising 0.1-20 weight parts (I) and 80-99.9 weight parts (II); (2) molding mass (A'') containing (i) 40-99.5wt.% mixture as defined for (A') and (ii) the balance particulate, lamellar and/or fibrous fillers, pigments, reinforcing agents, additives, agents that impart anti-electrostatic or electrical conduction properties, nucleating agents and particulate flame-proofing agents; and (3) molded articles prepared from (A)-(A'').

Abstract: A molding composition of at least 50% by weight of a polyamine-polyamide copolymer obtained from 0.05 to 2.5% by weight of a polyamine having at least 4 nitrogen atoms and having a viscosity of at least 5 000 Pa.s at 250° C. and at a shear rate of 0.1 l/s, and having a viscosity ratio of at least 7 at 250° C., when the melt viscosities at shear rates of 0.1 l/s and 100 l/s are compared with one another, has high melt stiffness and is easy to cut, and performs well in blow molding.

Abstract: The thermoplastic composite material comprises a polyamide layer bonded to a polyester layer by means of an adhesive (I) comprising a blend of polyamide prepared from stoichiometric amounts of a diamine containing 6-12C atoms and dicarboxylic acids, and a polyester prepared from a diol containing a mixture of dicarboxylic acids. Thermoplastic composite material comprises a polyamide layer bonded to a polyester layer by means of an adhesive (I) comprising at least 50 wt.% of a blend of: (a) 20-80 wt.% of a polyamide prepared from stoichiometric amounts of a diamine containing 6-12C atoms and dicarboxylic acids, including at least 5 mol% of dicarboxylic acids (II) containing 10-36 C atoms; and (b) 20-80 wt.% of a polyester prepared from a diol containing 2-12 C atoms and a mixture of 30-95 mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid containing 6-20 C atoms and 5-70 mol% (II). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) production of the composite material by multicomponent injection molding, coextrusion or coextrusion/blow molding; (2) an adhesive as defined for (I).

Abstract: A multilayer composite comprising the following layers bound directly to one another:I. a layer I of a polyamide molding composition;II. a layer II of a bonding agent comprising at least 50% by weight of a mixture ofa) from 30 to 70 parts by volume of polyamide andb) from 70 to 30 parts by volume of polyolefin, where the sum of the parts by volume is 100 and in addition at least some of the polyamide is present either in the form of a polyamide-polyolefin graft copolymer or as a highly branched polyamine-polyamide copolymer;III. if desired a layer III of a polyolefin molding composition,displays good adhesion between layers which remains largely intact even on prolonged contact with alcohol-containing or aqueous media at elevated temperature.
