Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject shaped product having a thickness in a specific range, improved in the defects of conventional particulate cyanuric chloride, reduced in operation troubles and/or in problems on work hygiene, and capable of being easily treated. SOLUTION: This pellet or flake of cyanuric chloride has a thickness of 0.5-3mm. Especially, the pellet has a true diameter of 2-10mm, and the flake has an area of 10-50mm . The objective shaped product is obtained by applying the melted form of the cyanuric chloride to the surface of a substrate in the form of drops or stripes, cooling the surface and/or bringing the applied melted liquid into contact with a cooling gas to remove the melting heat, and subsequently taking up the coagulated shaped product from the surface.

Abstract: Formed particles of cyanuric chloride (CUC), especially tablets and flakes, are claimed (I). Also claimed is a process for the production of (I), by applying drops or strips of molten CUC to a surface, removing the heat of fusion of the CUC by cooling the surface and/or by contacting the melt with cold gas, and removing the solidified product from the surface.
