Abstract: The multi-layer plastics pipe has a support polymer inside which is embedded at least one layer of a blocking polymer. The two types of polymer are bonded together to provide a flexible pipe for the safe handling of different chemicals eg. fuels. The bonding/support polymer layers each side of the layer of blocking polymer are linked by narrow bridges through the blocking polymer. The bonding between the layers is improved by surface profiling of the blocking polymer.
