Abstract:
A peristaltic pump, and related system method are provided. The peristaltic pump includes a cam shaft, first and second pinch-valve cams, first and second pinch-valve cam followers, a plunger cam, a plunger-cam follower, a tube receiver, and a spring-biased plunger. The first and second pinch-valve cams are coupled to the cam shaft. The first and second pinch-valve cam followers each engage the first and second pinch-valve cams, respectively. The plunger cam is coupled to the cam shaft. The plunger-cam follower engages the plunger cam. The tube receiver is configured to receive a tube. The spring-biased plunger is coupled to the plunger-cam follower such that the expansion of the plunger cam along a radial angle intersecting the plunger-cam follower as the cam shaft rotates pushes the plunger cam follower towards the plunger and thereby disengages the spring-biased plunger from the tube. A spring coupled to the spring-biased plunger biases the spring-biased plunger to apply the crushing force to the tube.

Abstract:
A peristaltic pump (3001), and related system method are provided. The peristaltic pump pumps fluid in a cyclic manner where each cycle has four stages. The pump includes a plunger for actuating towards and away from a tube, an inlet and outlet valve, a spring for biasing the plunger towards the tube and a plunger actuator. The plunger actuator can be a cam which can engage and disengage with the plunger. In a first stage the inlet valve is opened and the plunger actuated away from the tube allowing the tube to fill from the inlet. In a second stage the inlet valve is closed and the plunger is actuated towards the tube and disengaged from the actuator. The second stage has the outlet valve closed allowing the fluid in the tube to be pressured by the spring pressure on the plunger. In a third stage the outlet valve is opened. In a fourth stage the plunger is actuated against the tube, with the outlet valve still open, allowing the fluid to be discharged out of the outlet.
Abstract:
A fluid connector assembly. The fluid connector assembly includes a tab portion including a slot; a plug portion slidably connected to the tab portion the plug portion comprising a fluid path and a disc, the disc configured to seat within the slot; a catch feature located on a first end of the tab portion and configured to interact with a reservoir; and a latching feature located on a second end of the tab portion, the latching feature configured to interact and lock onto the reservoir, wherein force applied to the plug portion may overcome a threshold force and unseat the disc from the slot wherein the plug portion moves with respect to the tab portion.
